Why Mibu Exists
Most outdoor furniture doesn't survive outdoors. Sun loungers crack after a summer or two. Fabric fades, stiffens, or tears the first time the weather turns. You end up replacing the same chair three times in five years.
We started Mibu because we were done with that. Outdoor furniture should hold up to real sun, real salt water, and real weather — not just look good in a product photo. So instead of adding to the pile of furniture that doesn't last, we went looking for people who already knew how to build it right.
What We Do Differently
We don't design or build furniture ourselves, and we won't pretend we do. Instead, we go straight to the source — furniture makers in Italy and Spain who have been building for outdoor living far longer than we've existed. That means what you get isn't a copy of a Mediterranean look. It's the real thing, made by people who grew up building for this climate.
Our Standard
Every collection on Mibu comes from a maker we've vetted ourselves — checking the materials, the build quality, and how the pieces hold up outdoors, not just how they are photographed. If a workshop doesn't meet that bar, their pieces don't make it onto Mibu. As we bring in more makers from across Italy and Spain, that standard stays the same.
Who Mibu Is For
Mibu is for anyone who wants their outdoor space to feel as good as the inside of their home — one lounge chair on a balcony, or a full terrace set up. We also work with interior designers, architects, and trade professionals, and we can handle large orders for hotels, restaurants, and bigger projects.
